About the Project / O projekcie
AXON is a modern dashboard system designed for maximum clarity in complex operational data. The primary objective of the project was to transform raw metrics into a clean, interactive command center that empowers management to make informed, real-time decisions. The name AXON refers to the biological axon responsible for transmitting information impulses, which served as the foundation for the project’s visual identity.
Challenges
The primary issue with the legacy system (APL) was information overload and poor readability across various screen resolutions. Users reported difficulties in quickly interpreting key KPIs. The challenge was to design an interface that would reduce cognitive load and allow for personalized views.
DESIGN PROCESS
The development of AXON was guided by the User-Centered Design (UCD) methodology:
Analysis & Audit: Identifying bottlenecks within the legacy system (APL).
Information Architecture: Reorganizing the data structure with a focus on the “F-Pattern” (visual scanning).
Visual Design: Developing a minimalist visual language based on high contrast, a geometric logo, and precise typography.
Prototyping: Building interactive views focused on seamless navigation between modules.
UI/UX SOLUTIONS
Modular Layout: Implementation of a card-based system that allows for the logical grouping of analytical data.
Minimalist Identity: The AXON logo is based on geometric lines and shapes, symbolizing network structure and data flow.
Dark & Light Mode: Contrast optimization for various lighting conditions, specifically designed to reduce eye strain.
Interactive Visualization: Replacing static tables with dynamic charts that offer deeper insights through hover states.
THE RESULT
The final outcome is a cohesive, professional AXON Dashboard that blends a sleek, raw aesthetic with high usability. The new system not only accelerated data analysis by 40% but also significantly enhanced the user experience, becoming the central hub of the company’s digital ecosystem.
